Several Tallassee High School baseball and softball players have been highlighted on lists by a variety of outlets capping their recent banner seasons.
The AHSAA recently released the rosters of players making up the North/South All-Star rosters for “Sports Week” scheduled for July. The Tigers’ Brue Milner and Cheyann Easterling were named to the baseball and softball teams comprised of rising seniors.

Milner just picked up his third all-state honor as well, put out by the Alabama Sports Writers Association. The first-team pick was also a first team all-area for large schools selected by the Opelika-Auburn News. He was all-county first team in the Tallassee Tribune. The Montgomery Advertiser also tabbed Milner all-area first team and named him the Player of the Year to boot.

Easterling was a first-team choice by the Opelika-Auburn News and Tallassee Tribune.
Olivia Hammonds was a first-team selection by the OA News. She made the Tribune’s honorable mention list. Marlee Osborne was second team in the OA News and honorable mention in the Tribune. Kam Tate was honorable mention in the OA News and second team in the Tribune. Lila Kate Fulgham was honorable mention in both newspapers.
Kaleb Gillespie was a second team pick by both newspaper outlets. Jack Butler was second team in the Tribune and honorable mention in the OA News. Hamp Love was listed honorable mention in the two publications. Hudson Timmerman was honorable mention in the Tribune.

Player Profiles
Cheyann Easterling (Jr.) – Batted .511 with a .616 on-base percentage. Led the team in hits (45), runs (37) and stolen bases (39).
Olivia Hammonds (Jr.) – Hit .405 (.500 OBP) with a team-best 36 RBIs. Pitched 31 1/3 innings with a 2-0 record recording 10 strikeouts and 19 walks with a 7.37 ERA.
Marlee Osborne (Jr.) – Had a .358 batting average with a homerun and 24 RBIs. On-base percentage was .455. Struck out just six times in 102 plate appearances. Threw 54.1 innings compiling a 7-3 record, an ERA of 5.54. Struck out 33 and walked 37.
Kam Tate (Jr.) – Hit .302 (.413 OBP). Drove in 21 runs. Led the Tigers in innings pitched (86.1) and ERA (4.13). Recorded a 6-12 record.
Lila Kate Fulgham (Jr.) – Batted .326 with 2 homers and 30 RBIs. Added a .413 on-base percentage. Team-leading .975 fielding percentage as the catcher. She threw out 12 runners and picked off three more.
Brue Milner (Jr.) – Led the team in batting average (.458), on-base percentage (.624), slugging (1.102), walks (26), homeruns (10) and RBIs (27). Became the program leader in career RBIs currently at 129. Moved into third in career homers with 23 behind his father Brent Milner (29) and Brandon Peters (26). From his catcher’s position, committed just one error with 124 total chances.
Kaleb Gillespie (Fr.) – Batted .373 and had an on-base percentage of .549. Led the team with seven doubles. Drove in 10 runs and collected 25 free passes (12 times hit by pitch).
Jack Butler (Sr.) – Hit .306 with a .430 on-base percentage. Added a homerun and 17 RBIs. Went 6-2 on the mound leading the squad in wins, innings pitched (38) and earned run average (2.02). Struck out 29 and walked 18. Had a perfect fielding percentage with 30 total chances.
Hamp Love (Fr.) – Put up a .325 batting average and an on-base percentage of .391. Hit one homerun with 23 RBIs. As a pitcher he tossed 34 1/3 innings with a 2-3 record, adding three saves. He struck out 39 and walked 13. His ERA was 4.07.
Hudson Timmerman (Soph.) – Batted .310 with an on-base percentage of .407. Hit two homers and had 15 RBIs. He pitched 9 1/3 innings going 1-1. He struck out 16 and walked three with an ERA of 4.5.
