Two Tallassee stars on the diamond will be taking the field this summer for the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s All-Star Sports Week in Montgomery.

Brue Milner of the THS baseball team and Cheyann Easterling of the THS softball team have been selected to play on the South team for each sport. Both will be seniors next season.

Easterling led the Tigers in batting average hitting .511 last season. She had an on-base percentage of .616. She compiled 45 hits, scored 37 runs and stole 39 bases on 40 attempts.

Milner batted a team best .458 with 10 homeruns and 27 RBIs. His on-base percentage was .624. He ranked fourth in all of Alabama in homers.

Each squad consists of 18 rising seniors. Games will be played the week of July 20-24.
