Comparing gas prices

The price of gas has escalated across the country. In March, the national average reached $4.33 per gallon. A recent study by SmartAsset showed that rising prices are affecting Alabamians the most.

Fortunately, in recent weeks those costs have dipped - slightly. In Tallassee. the rate for a gallon of regular unleaded ranged from $3.87 to $3.98.

Price checking at pumps on Sunday, April 10 found the lowest fee at Road Runner in East Tallassee. The highest was at Five Points.

Road Runner is charging $3.87 per gallon for 87 octane unleaded fuel. Five Points lists the same grade at $3.98.

The other five stores were all set at $3.89 per gallon. There are seven gas stations within the city limits.
