Jolly, 18, worked with soldiers and their families through the Alabama National Guard Youth Program and the Alabama National Guard Advisory Board to provide logistical and emotional support.

At weekend Yellow Ribbon reintegration events, she uses her experience from her father's deployment to help her peers understand the practical and emotional effects of a parent's active military service.

Jolly's achievements were highlighted in the Birmingham Business Journal.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards represents the United States' largest youth recognition program based solely on volunteer service.  She also received the President's Volunteer Service Award, based on the number of hours she has volunteered.

Jolly received a letter informing her of both awards. Both awards will be presented to her at the high school awards night.
