Reeltown's Langston in AHSAA Spotlight

Reeltown's Makayla Langston made the AHSAA list of "Spotlight" performers last week. Langton recorded 28 rebounds in the Rebels 66-57 win over Horseshoe Bend.
Of the 28 boards, 16 were on the offensive side. She also scored 21 points. Langston had a 21-rebound effort in the following game against LAMP, a 35-31 defeat. She is averaging 15.4 rebounds per game this season.
Langston's 28 rebounds in one game ranks 15th in the AHSAA Record Book. The top performance of 38 rebounds was by Maida Harris of Childersburg in 1999.
This is not the first time Langston has garnered attention for her play. She scored 20 points in one quarter in a game vs. Fayetteville two seasons ago. That ranks 11th on the AHSAA's all-time list. |
