The Tallassee High School basketball program held its annual awards banquet on April 15. Tallassee finished the 2018-19 season with a 22-8 record. The 22 wins matched the most by a THS team. The 1970 Tigers were 22-3.

The Tigers also had a 15-game win streak and reached the playoffs for the second straight season.

Tyrek Turner, a first-team all-area selection by the Opelika/Auburn News, second-team all-metro by the Montgomery Advertiser and third-team Class 5A all-state selection, was honored as the team MVP at the banquet.

Jaleel Dumas received the coaches award. The offensive MVP was to Jamicah Humphrey. The defensive MVP was Sandarius Hughley.
