The Alabama High School Athletic Association has released the new alignments for the 2026-28 winter and spring sports seasons.

Tallassee recently learned of its future region and area placement for fall athletics with the AHSAA’s reclassification release in January.

The new classifications will separate private and public schools for the next two-year cycle.

Next winter, Tallassee will be in Class 4A/Area 5 for basketball with Beauregard, Elmore County and Valley.

Tallassee is listed in Class 4A/Section 1 for wrestling and indoor track.

For the next spring, baseball and softball are in Class 4A/Area 5 and soccer in Class 4A/Area 7 with Beauregard, Elmore County and Valley. Golf and track and field will be in Class 4A/Section 2.
