Clint Browning is the new assistant principal at Tallassee Elementary School. Browning is taking over for Josh Taylor, who has spent the last two years at TES.
“Mr. Taylor took a job at the state department,” said Tallassee City Schools superintendent Dr. Brock Nolin. “We were fortunate enough to have somebody in the pipelines. Mr. Browning has done a lot of work the last couple of years. He’s taken on some administrative roles.
“He supervises our drug testing with the district and is an assistant transportation coordinator, two roles which he will continue to do. He’s put his best foot forward, stepped up and showed that his capabilities are some we want to move forward with.”

Browning has been teaching eighth grade math at Southside Middle School. Of his 11 years as a teacher, 10 have been with Tallassee.
“Prior to teaching, I spent about ten years in business management. It brings a little different viewpoint,” Browning said. “I completely believe in this district and all the positive things we have going. I just want to be a small part of continuing that great tradition here in Tallassee.”
Tallassee Elementary just received the system’s first A score with the Alabama Department of Education report card release.
“They’re clearly doing great things. A lot of the elementary kids come in every single day with joy in their eyes. I just want to come in and serve. I was a youth pastor for about ten years straight out of college. Working with kids has always been my mission.”
