A new business has opened its doors on Gilmer Avenue. Pop Health has moved into the building formerly occupied by Covington Healthcare.
Callie Best is the owner and nurse practitioner. She and her husband Billy bought some farmland in the area and are making the move from Auburn.
“I started off my career as a nurse at Community Hospital,” she said. “I had a lot of great memories with Sarah Covington.”

The business will focus on pediatric care but also will work with adults.
“It’s a bit of a hybrid,” Best said. “I can see any age. Typically, what you find in an urgent care is what we offer.”
Best held her ribbon cutting and open house on Saturday. She is now taking appointments.
“Go online to pophealthclinic.com and schedule a visit.”
