Tallassee mayoral candidate Joey Wiginton will be holding a forum on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at the Mount Vernon Performing Arts Center to discuss his platform prior to this month’s municipal election.

“If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times,” Wiginton said, “‘Tallassee has so much potential.’ Well, let’s do something.”

The free event is open to the public and begins at 6 p.m.

“I’ve got a couple of guys who will share what we could do. We’ll have a Q and A session.”

The program will be broadcast on WTLS – Score 94.7/Fun 101.1 with a live video webcast on Tallassee Times on Facebook.

“If you have a dream for Tallassee, come out and share it with us,” Wigington added. “We’re dreaming of what Tallassee can come become, not just its potential.”
