Rodgers to Head Up Chamber

By Leigh Anne Butler

The Tallassee Chamber of Commerce has selected Carmen Rodgers as its new director.

Rodgers will replace Jerry Cunningham, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Cunningham has served since 2017.

“I’m truly excited to step into this role and serve the community that has given me so much,” Rodgers said. “I look forward to working closely with the Chamber members, the board of directors, and the community as we move Tallassee in the best possible direction—honoring our past while building a vibrant and thriving future.”

Rodgers is a native of Tallassee and holds a Master’s in Communications from Full Sail University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Auburn University at Montgomery.

Michelle Cole, Tallassee Chamber of Commerce president stated, “Carmen has a strong background in communications that will help her lead the Chamber into the future and help her build a rapport with the city and businesses in Tallassee.”
