The Tallassee Chamber of Commerce will have its annual awards banquet on Thursday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the National Guard Armory on Gilmer Avenue.

“It’s an opportunity to recognize our Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Chamber Lifetime winner and also a number of Making A Difference in the Community Awards,” said Tallassee Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jerry Cunningham.

Cunningham also spoke about the live and silent auctions that will precede the ceremony.

“Every bit of that money goes towards student scholarships,” he said.

Dinner will be catered by 1220 Cafe.

“If you’re interested in coming, get in touch with me,” Cunningham added. “Tickets are $40 for individuals and $250 per table.”
