Anyone who has ever gone to 1220 Café has probably been greeted with a smile from cashier David Butler. Not only is he a long-time cashier but he’s the 1220 Warehouse manager, host for many events and a pastor.
Butler has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and is facing lengthy treatment and surgery. He will not be able to work, so friends and family are coming together to raise funds for him until he can be back doing what he loves.

A spaghetti supper and charity Bingo event is being held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Providence Primitive Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Homemade spaghetti, salad, a drink and dessert will be on the menu for $10. Bingo will be $20 for two cards and unlimited playing.
The doors will open at 4:30 with bingo starting at 5. Those who want to pick up a to-go plate can arrive at 5:30 for pick-up.
If you would like to donate prizes for Bingo, those are being accepted through Feb. 13.

Tickets will be on sale at the door, but if you would like to purchase a spaghetti plate ticket ahead of time contact Jennifer Bennett at 334-324-1894 or Suzannah Solomon Wilson at 334-283-8172.
Providence Primitive Baptist Church is located at 4850 Chana Creek Road between Tallassee and Eclectic. The entrance to the event is in the back of the building.
