Small Business Spotlight: East Tallassee Pharmacy

Contributed by the Tallassee Chamber of Commerce

East Tallassee Pharmacy opened its doors in 2010. The pharmacy is conveniently located in the East Tallassee Super Foods and opened for business the same day as the grocery store. This was a long awaited addition to the east side of town and fulfilled a great need, as this was the first time a pharmacy had been in East Tallassee since 1990.

East Tallassee Pharmacy offers a variety of services to the community. In addition to fulfilling all of your prescription and over-the-counter needs, they are a fully accredited DME provider, therefore, they can bill Medicare Part B and Medicaid for medical supplies. These supplies include nebulizers, diabetic testing supplies, and walkers just to name a few.

East Tallassee Pharmacy also offers immunization services and medication adherence tools. Compliance packaging is offered to any individual who may have a hard time remembering when to take their medications or who would just prefer to have their medications tailored specifically to their individual needs. All you have to do is drop off your prescription bottles, and the pharmacy staff will take care of the rest. You are called and reminded each month when it is time to get all of your medication and they conveniently pack it in packages labeled morning, noon, or night.

As the pharmacy looked to expand services, it realized an unmet need in the community and acted on it.  East Tallassee Pharmacy implemented a prescription delivery service in the spring of 2017. They deliver to many areas in West and East Tallassee, Notasulga, Reeltown and other surrounding areas. This service has been a blessing to those who have thus far utilized it. They are happy to offer this much needed service to our community.
