Daddy/Daughter Dance Saturday

Staff Report

The annual Daddy/Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 29 at Restoration 49, located at 101 North Ann Avenue in Tallassee.

There will be two sessions - one session from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and another at 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Couple tickets are $30. Additional daughters are $5 and no family pays more than $35.

Your ticket includes dinner at Rustic Mill Bistro, located adjacent to Restoration 49.

"Rustic Mill will do burgers, chicken fingers and pulled pork with some sides. It'll be buffet style," program sponsor Kami Scarborough said. "It will be a nice dinner, so you can go across the street before the dance."

All proceeds will benefit a local scholarship fund.

"We're still accepting donations," Scarborough said. "Someone in the tri-county will receive the scholarship. If we raise enough money we will do multiple scholarships. We saw a need where students are not going to a four-year college, so this will be more for someone who's not going to a traditional four-year college."

Tickets are available at Urban Tails or WACQ Radio in downtown Tallassee.
