Hotel Talisi arsonist escapes
Staff Report
The man serving time for the 2009 downtown Tallassee fire that damaged the Hotel Talisi and Smarty Pants Consignment Shop has escaped.
Dylan Carroll, 24, was being held at Frank Lee Youth Center in Deatsville. He escaped on Thursday, Sept. 22 at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Last August, Carroll was sentenced to 13 years for arson. He was just 17-years-old when he committed the offense that closed the landmark hotel and consignment shop.
