Girls surpass record for wins

For the third season in a row, Tallassee has set a new record for wins in a season. Last year, the Tigers won 32 games eclipsing the high win mark from the year prior at 24. On Monday, Tallassee won its 33rd game.

Head coach Pat Love has been the skipper during the three-year run at Tallassee. The Tigers could be on their way to shattering the mark with still a lot of season potentially left.

Tallassee walloped Benjamin Russell on Monday, 14-4, belting out 20 hits. Jordan Walters picked up her 20th victory on the season, another THS record.

Chloe Baynes had four hits in the game. Walters had three hits at the dish. Ella Thrash also had three hits.

The girls have Senior Night on Tuesday with area opponent Brewbaker Tech on the docket at Southside Park. The junior varsity game starts at 4:30 with ceremony for the Tigers' lone senior Madelyn Martin and the varsity game to follow.
